This small 1,000 sq feet apartment interior featuring many functioning and well-defined spaces was designed by Portland-based Garrison Hullinger Interior Design.
Description by Garrison Hullinger A condo under 1,000 sq feet doesn’t have to be interpreted as small; not when you can create many functioning and well-defined spaces. We were hired to create a living room design and give the client some additional ideas of how to use their open plan for entertaining and cooking with friends. The space is new construction with the feel of an urban hip condo; including exposed vent pipes and concrete walls and support columns. The client was sure to point out that she didn’t want anything formal, but instead wanted us to create a space that makes you want to relax with friends. The walls were left a pale tone of eggshell, which allowed us to bring in some darker elements to help ground the different spaces in the unit. One cannot help but be drawn to the expansive windows in the space, so we created a seating area in front of the windows. Visit Garrison Hullinger
